Formerly known as Treasures magazine, Goin’ to the Beach is a revamped lifestyle and travel magazine that celebrates all the fun of sunny Panama City Beach, Florida. In 2015, The Idea Boutique decided our client of nine years, Resort Collection, was in need of a branding refresh. The efforts came in the form of a new website at ResortCollection.com and the rebranding of its in-room vacation guide. The ad campaign we created a few years earlier, Goin’ to the Beach!®, feels timeless as an organic phrase that people across the country use when they are—you guessed it—going to the beach!
The first issue of Goin’ to the Beach magazine was published in May 2016 and debuted a whole new look and feel to the in-room publication, which still contained fun vacation ideas and all the information you need when staying at any Resort Collection beach property. The magazine also brought more lifestyle stories to the table, including a fun-in-the-sun photo shoot celebrating beach style, the new Nivol Brewery, a Goin’ to the Beach activities timeline, ecotourism ideas, and more!
Goin’ to the Beach Magazine (Annual) Photoshoot
The goal of this photo shoot was to build imagery for the brand we created for a client whom we have represented for the past nine years. Photos were added to their photo bank and were published in their annual magazine Goin’ to the Beach. We proposed a collection of young adult and family photography that depicts the beach resort lifestyle and the activities available to guests during their stay at Resort Collection.
