How to Dress When Working From Home

Working from home requires getting into a routine! One of the main factors that can make or break your morale is how you dress! If you work in your pajamas all day, you’re less likely to feel energized and motivated. Whereas if you put a little effort into putting real clothes on, it helps give you a sense of being in the “real world,” so you don’t feel so sluggish! Here are a few of our favorite outfits, brands, and accessories that can help inspire you on how to dress when working from home!

A Stylish Sweat Set

Sweat sets are not only on-trend but they’re also super comfortable! Whether you prefer the shorts-and-hoodie combo or the classic sweatpants and sweatshirt, you can find a sweat set just about anywhere these days! We especially love the Outdoor Voices sets; they are so colorful and soft! Outdoor Voices also has a great message of “Endorphins make you happy,” which is so true, and something we could all use right now. A little bit of moving around can make all the difference in your day. Outdoor Voices has also been live streaming fun interactive workouts to help everyone’s endorphins get to pumping during this time of social distancing!

Starting your day in workout wear could help you to stay motivated to get your workout in at some point during the day, even if it’s not first thing in the morning. Athletic wear is comfortable but still practical, an ideal look to keep you productive and active at home! Alo Yoga has some especially adorable sets—the snakeskin set is so fetch! Let’s face it, sometimes we need a cute new workout outfit to get us going and keep us motivated!

Bike Shorts + Sweatshirt

The trendy bike shorts and sweatshirt combo gives you the best of both worlds! The sweatshirt brings a comfort factor while the bike shorts bring the activity-friendly spandex. This duo was super hot during the 80s, and now it’s back and more stylish than ever. Cute and comfortable—what’s better? Channel your inner Hailey Bieber and rock this outfit combo while you’re working and while you’re working out!

Graphic Tee + Jeans

When you’ve gotten tired of wearing spandex, try a comfortable pair of jeans with a cute graphic tee! It’s still casual enough that you’ll be comfortable at home, yet it doesn’t feel like you have lounge clothes or pajamas on. There is something about putting on a pair of jeans that makes you feel like you really got dressed for the day! Be an overachiever during this quarantine and rock your favorite jeans!

Leggings + Tank + Sweater

Cute and cozy! This combo is a quintessential WFH look. A sweater layered over a tank top is so versatile and practical, too—if you get warm, just pull your sweater off and rock the tank-and-leggings look instead! It’s convenient with a classic look, and when the day is done, you’ll be ready for some Netflix or cuddle time!

Accessories

Blue Light Glasses — Protect your eyes with a pair of blue light glasses! Let’s face it—while working from home and then staying in most of the time, a lot of us could be on our devices a lot more. With these glasses that block the harsh blue light from your screens, your eyes won’t get as strained, giving you more energy to get your work done!

Water Bottle — Stay hydrated and stay healthy, folks! This is a no-brainer and so crucial during this time.

Scrunchy — A trusty hair tie is essential for any WFH woman! When you’re feeling stressed about work or in the middle of rocking your work, and you need to throw up your hair, take that scrunchy off your wrist and get it out of your face.

Headphones — What can we say? We love Apple AirPods. Headphones are a must if you are in quarantine with multiple people in your home! (Sometimes you just need to tune out some of your beloved family members.) Not to mention if you’re feeling down and all else fails, put on some heels, turn on some music, and dance it out! Heels heal, after all!
